Friendship is Magic (COMPILATION ONGOING)

I know I said it was going to be bigger; well it is, but to keep my interest and pace myself I’m splitting the picture into pieces and then I’ll merge them all together once completed.

Anyway, here’s the first picture in the series; one that some of you may have already seen: Luna and Nightmare Moon. I’ll be honest, this is really only me rehashing drawing ideas and finally deciding on a best way to make it on the third try.

I always liked to think that Nightmare Moon was a discorded Luna and that without the armour she looked slightly more like herself. I got the colours completely wrong, that much I know, but whatever, purple and blue look good together.

I must also note that I’ve really taken a shine to drawing Luna with a really youthful appearance opposed to a proportionally smaller Celestia.

Anyway, Celestia. As much as I’ve drawn Luna, I actually slightly prefer Celestia, making her my all-round favourite best poni. Oddly enough though, despite being the main princess in the series both Luna and Celestia now surpass her for screentime. This is kinda sad, rite? I gotta admit that I’m really hoping for a Celestia episode in the next season.

Next up is Cadance, Shining Armor and Chrysalis I believe. That’ll be up soon, honest~
